With air conditioning throughout, amenities, kitchenette, barbecue facilities and surrounding parkland Four Hundred Acres is a comfortable and inspiring environment for a wide variety of artists and a range of project styles.
The studio is the home of musician and in-house engineer Robert Vasey who has worked with an array of established artists including Owl Eyes, Clubfeet, Lanie Lane, Clare Bowditch, Chet Faker, Lisa Mitchell, Gossling and Chela.

- Recording - a professional multi-track recording environment on a home recording budget. The live room, control room and entrance hallway comprise three fully isolated recording spaces. The live room is also large enough to accommodate a whole band. When preparing for a recording we will discuss your project requirements and define the outcomes expected from your time in the studio. We can then define a timeframe and tailor services and packages to suit your budget.
- Mixing - recorded music that is intended for commercial release has to resonate with listeners in the real world. Mixing is one of the most critical processes in music production, creating synergy between all the recorded elements and combining them into a result that will best emote the creative work to the desired audience.
- Freelance Hire - very affordable rates for freelancers who can enjoy a clean and fuctional environment and all-inclusive use of studio equipment and instruments. The studio endeavours to be as flexible as possible offering Pro Tools, Logic and Ableton Live DAW software to suit your preference. External outboard equipment can be easily integrated via the patchbay with breakout cables provided. The Lynx AD/DA interface is fitted with firewire expansion allowing the use of a third party laptop for running a session. A reduced rate is available for bookings of the control room only. Ideally suited for mixing sessions and offering a fully soundproofed, acoustically treated mix environment. Discounts are also available on studio bookings across multiple days.
